The Nitrogen interconnects are designed so
as to be a smooth, impedance-controlled transmission line capable of
passing signals free of distortion or coloration. As a result, a
Nitrogen without ProSink reflects signal at only one point -- the end.
Compared to the hundreds of bumpy and reflective impedance variations
in most "hand-made" twisted wire, this alone represents a significant
improvement.
"The Nitrogen cables
are amazing.
They're easily the best interconnects I've ever heard and are very
competitive pricewise ($130). I would think that to really beat them,
you'd need to look at cables anywhere from five to ten times their
price."

But the Nitrogens don't stop there.
Taking advantage of the controlled-impedance nature of the Nitrogen
cable, they are terminated with the revolutionary ProSink termination
to completely eliminate internal reflections. As a result, the Nitrogen
cable is rendered electrically perfect
and electrically identical to any other flat-impedance cable --
even if that cable is an esoteric and exorbitantly expensive geometry
with millions of dollars invested in its design. Thanks to the ProSink
termination, the cable itself is completely incapable of affecting the
signal it has been entrusted with carrying -- and indeed colors the
signal less than the most exotic interconnect that lacks this
termination. (more information on ProSink)
"If you offered to trade me the [$1500]
Nites for Nitrogens, I'd do it -- but only to turn around and sell the
Nites, pocket the difference, and buy the Nitrogen again."
